University of Perpetual Help System Dalta secured its third straight win after clobbering San Sebastian College, 25-20, 28-26, 25-18, in Season 101 National Collegiate Athletic Association women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the San Andres Gym in Manila.
Jemalyn Menor supplied the offensive firepower for the Lady Altas, who coasted to their third straight win for their best start since the Covid pandemic six years ago.
Menor, a Pangasinan native, was unstoppable, firing 13 attacks for Perpetual, which defeated San Sebastian in one hour and 40 minutes of action.
Shaila Omipon added 12 points, 20 digs and nine receptions while Cy Almeniana chipped in 10 markers for the squad of coach Sandy Rieta. Setter Fianne Ariola also provided stability with 19 excellent while setter Jody Lozano manned the floor to perfection with 20 digs and 10 receptions.
“I always push them during training, so this is a byproduct of our preparations,” Rieta said.
“It’s great that they are responding well, but we need more consistency moving forward.”
