University of Perpetual Help System Dalta inched closer to the coveted twice-to-beat advantage after a 25-14, 25-22, 25-20 victory over Jose Rizal University in Season 101 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association women’s volleyball tournament Sunday at the San Andres Gym.

Charisse Enrico led the Lady Altas, scoring 15 points, while Cyrille Almeniana and Camille Bustamante had 13 points each, as they improved to a 9-2 win-loss record in Group A.

Fianne Ariola chipped in 22 excellent sets for the Lady Altas, who bounced back from a 20-25, 16-25, 19-25 loss to defending champion College of Saint Benilde last Friday.

Should Perpetual win its last two games, it will secure the group’s top seed and the playoff bonus.

Gayle Batara finished with 13 points for the Lady Bombers but to no avail as they dropped to 2-9 for the season.
