Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya and Madame Endo Akiko visited Iloilo City on 24 and 25 January to meet with local leaders and participate in the annual Dinagyang Festival.
During the two-day visit, Endo held discussions with Mayor Raisa Treñas and former Senate President Franklin Drilon. The meetings focused on deepening the partnership and cooperation between Iloilo and Japan.
The ambassador and his wife also joined national government officials and members of the diplomatic corps to observe the highly anticipated festival celebrations.
Endo expressed a commitment to strengthening long-standing ties with the region through continued dialogue and mutual support.
