Chinese automaker Chery closed 2025 with its strongest sales performance to date, reporting global deliveries of 2,806,393 vehicles, according to company data.
The figure represents a 17.4 percent increase from the previous year and marks the highest annual sales total in the brand’s history.
December played a major role in the final tally. Chery said it sold 244,928 vehicles during the month alone, pushing full-year sales beyond the 2.8 million mark.
The result capped a year of steady growth for the automaker across domestic and overseas markets.
Exports remained a major driver of volume. Chery shipped 1,344,020 vehicles outside China in 2025, also up 17.4 percent year on year.
This performance kept the brand as China’s top passenger vehicle exporter for the 23rd straight year, based on industry rankings cited by the company.
The automaker’s global customer base continued to expand as well. Chery said cumulative ownership worldwide has reached 18.53 million vehicles, reflecting its wider footprint across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and parts of the Americas.
In the Philippines, Chery reported continued progress despite a competitive market. As of the end of November 2025, Chery Auto Philippines recorded sales of 1,415 units, including 167 units delivered in November.
The local operation has grown its network to 25 dealerships nationwide, offering a lineup centered on SUVs and crossovers.
Electrified models also contributed to brand visibility in the country. The Tiggo rEV LE emerged as the best-selling plug-in hybrid electric vehicle among CAMPI members in October 2025. It also posted the top efficiency rating among PHEVs at the Department of Energy Fuel Eco Run.
On the safety front, the same model received five-star ratings from both the Australasian New Car Assessment Program and the European New Car Assessment Program.
The vehicle earned high scores across adult and child occupant protection, vulnerable road user protection, and safety assist technologies, according to test results cited by Chery.
With 2025 behind it, Chery said it will continue to scale its global operations across conventional, hybrid, and new energy vehicles, while expanding product offerings and ownership services in markets such as the Philippines.
