Demonstrating its leadership as an AI-forward industry, the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) marked a major milestone in its sustainability roadmap with the official launch of benchmark PH:IT-BPM ESG Pulse Navigator, the country’s first purpose-built, AI-powered ESG intelligence engine.

Built by SusTek.ai, an advanced sustainability-focused AI technology company, benchmark PH replaces legacy survey formats with an interactive platform that simplifies sustainability assessments aligned with global standards and generates a customized ESG Report for every IBPAP member organization.

“For more than two decades, our sector has been a powerhouse for talent and operational excellence. Today, however, leadership is defined not only by scale and performance but also by sustainability, responsibility, and trust,” said IBPAP chief operating officer and ESG chairperson Celeste Ilagan.

“Global clients, regulators, and investors are increasingly assessing how the companies they partner with manage their environmental, social, and governance responsibilities. benchmark PH represents our statement of intent,” said IBPAP chief operating officer and ESG chairperson Celeste Ilagan.

Democratizing ESG Intelligence

With $40 billion in revenues and a workforce of 1.9 million Filipinos, the Philippine IT-BPM sector is one of the country’s most consequential economic engines. benchmark PH has been built to match that scale.

Anchored on a privacy-by-design approach, the platform removes traditional barriers to entry, enabling organizations of all sustainability maturity levels to assess their ESG performance across core metrics and alongside cohorts without prior expertise or dedicated sustainability teams.

“Generic ESG frameworks may fail to capture the nuances in operations of technology- and human capital-intensive industries accurately. In developing benchmark PH, our goal was to leverage AI to make our collective sustainability assessment and reporting intuitive, actionable, and directly relevant to the IT-BPM value chain,” said Danny Condecido, founder and CEO of SusTek.ai.

Tailored to the specific realities, talent dynamics, and material risks of the industry, benchmark PH’s built-in AI Assist guides respondents through each field in plain language, allowing participating companies to measure their performance across 13 material ESG topics essential to IT-BPM businesses.

The platform benchmarks each company’s data against cohorts based on their profile while keeping all peer comparisons strictly anonymized. The resulting ESG Report provides immediate value — equipping organizations with the insights to inform their sustainability strategies and respond to the growing volume of ESG requirements in client RFPs.

“Beyond deploying a technology tool, IBPAP and SusTek together aim to create a demonstrable ecosystem of support. By demystifying ESG concepts, benchmark PH empowers all our members, from emerging players to corporate giants, with the opportunity to contribute to positioning the Philippines as the standard for sustainable digital services,” Ilagan added.

Rounding out the launch event, globally recognized testing, inspection, and certification company Bureau Veritas led an insightful learning session on ESG reporting, limited assurance.
