Two Indian nationals were arrested over the weekend for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident in Villa Fidela Subdivision, Barangay Elias Aldana, authorities said.

Police from the Daniel Fajardo Sub-Station intercepted the suspects following a report from a barangay official that a robbery was in progress on 16 January 2026, at around 12:54 p.m.

Officers learned that the two armed men, aged 27 and 33, forcibly took a cellphone valued at P73,000 and cash totaling P10,000 from another Indian national in front of his residence.

Using the stolen phone’s GPS, operatives tracked and apprehended the suspects. Items recovered included a motorcycle, helmets, and a red jacket, which were turned over for investigation.

Acting PNP Chief P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the operation reflects the PNP’s commitment to responsive law enforcement under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations program.

“Criminal acts, regardless of nationality, will not find refuge under our watch,” Nartatez said. “Ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng batas ay para sa seguridad at kapayapaan ng bawat mamamayan,” he added.

The suspects were positively identified by the victim, and all recovered items were confirmed as the stolen property. The case has been forwarded for inquest proceedings at the Las Piñas City Police Station.

Nartatez said the PNP continues to strengthen crime prevention and operational response, assuring the public of timely and effective service under its “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman” initiative.
