UnionBank of the Philippines is kicking off the year by offering its cardholders exclusive early access to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical, along with a 10 percent ticket discount, ahead of the show’s Philippine run in July 2026.
The bank said UnionBank credit and debit cardholders can avail themselves of the pre-sale promo from 12 to 15 January 2026, in partnership with GMG Productions. The musical will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire.
The musical, based on the classic story of Willy Wonka and his chocolate factory, gained renewed global attention during the pandemic after becoming a viral sensation on TikTok. It is now on a multi-year international tour, with stops across Asia, North America, Australia, and Europe, before arriving in the Philippines.
“We’re committed to giving our customers exclusive access to more world-class theatrical productions with our partnership with GMG Productions. We’re delighted to open the new year with an exclusive pre-sale access to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical, as part of the line-up of shows our cardholders can look forward to this 2026."
UnionBank said the pre-sale follows a series of entertainment partnerships in 2025, which included productions such as Come From Away and Dear Evan Hansen.
The bank added that cardholders can expect more perks and partnerships throughout the year, with upcoming productions including Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular and Jesus Christ Superstar, among others.
Under the pre-sale promo, UnionBank cardholders are entitled to a 10 percent discount on tickets purchased during the 12 to 15 January selling period for the July 2026 performances.
