For the first time in its history, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will take place in Hong Kong, putting the city firmly back at the center of Asia’s dining spotlight.
Launched in 2013 as the regional counterpart of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants has grown into one of the most closely followed culinary awards programs in the region. It is the list chefs watch, restaurateurs benchmark against, and food media scrutinize every year. Backed by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the awards celebrate restaurants that reflect where Asian dining is right now, driven by creativity, craft, and innovation.
The 2026 edition will be staged in partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and will unfold as a multi-day gathering of leading chefs, restaurateurs, and food media from across Asia. Events will culminate in the awards ceremony on 25 March 2026, when the new ranking of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will be revealed, including the coveted title of The Best Restaurant in Asia. In 2025, the No. 1 spot went to Gaggan in Bangkok.
The list is voted on by a handpicked Academy of more than 350 restaurant industry experts across Asia, with a 50–50 gender split, and independently adjudicated by Deloitte. There are no rigid criteria or scorecards, only informed opinions shaped by real dining experiences.

We look forward to welcoming top chefs, representatives from the culinary industry, and tastemakers from across Asia to Hong Kong this March to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our region's culinary scene.”
The countdown of the list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will also be broadcast live to a global audience. Food lovers across the region and the globe are invited to join through the 50 Best YouTube channel.
