The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) apprehended a total of 180 individuals for various offenses, including illegal drugs, firearms, illegal gambling, and outstanding warrants, from 7 to 13 December, Acting District Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio reported on Wednesday.

Silvio said the arrests resulted from intensified police operations conducted over the seven-day period. These included 39 anti-illegal drug operations, which led to the arrest of 57 suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs worth P640,084.

Manhunt operations accounted for the capture of 55 individuals, including 22 most wanted persons and 33 other wanted persons. Meanwhile, five anti-illegal firearms operations resulted in five arrests and the recovery of five firearms.

Police also carried out 35 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 63 individuals and seizing P17,512 in bet money.

Among the notable arrests were alias “Reynaldo,” wanted for theft and evading authorities for 18 years, and alias “Noel,” wanted for violation of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, who had been hiding for 13 years. Both were apprehended by Anonas Police Station 9.

Other arrests included alias “Reñel,” wanted for violation of a city ordinance and arrested by Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station 13, and alias “Sarah Jean,” wanted for seven counts of estafa and apprehended by the District Mobile Force Battalion after 10 years of evasion.

Police also arrested alias “Ryan,” wanted for failure to appear in court trial by Batasan Police Station 6, and alias “Alexander,” listed as the No. 5 most wanted person of Masambong Police Station 2 and wanted for rape. Both had been on the run for seven years.

All arrested suspects were turned over to the appropriate courts, with charges filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, Republic Act No. 10591, and Presidential Decree No. 1602.

“The arrest of these individuals underscores our sustained manhunt operations. No matter how long it takes, the QCPD remains determined to bring fugitives to justice and uphold the rule of law,” Silvio said.
