Megan Young, Mikael Daez share first holiday plans with first baby

After having their first travel adventure with their baby last month, celebrity couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young are staying home first for Christmas to enjoy their first ever holidays with their firstborn, Leon.

“Excited for our first Christmas together with Leon!” Megan exclaimed at an exclusive interview together with Mikael at the sidelines of Avatar: Fire and Ash advanced screening last week in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

“Just around family and friends, so it would be a nice, intimate celebration,” the Philippines’ first and only Miss World titleholder shared their plans with Leon.

“Just stay with family the whole time as much as we can!” stressed Mikael.

“Kain lang! (Eat only!)” Megan noted. 

Avatar: Fire and Ash is perfect for families, like Megan, Mikael and Leon, looking for a holiday bonding retreat, said Avatar director, co-writer and producer James Cameron.

“This is a movie about a family processing what it means to be in a war, for kids to be in a war, for parents to let their kids go and trust them enough that they’re going to make the right decisions. This is an important theme in the movie. And for Jake, having just lost a child, his protectiveness takes the form of being an almost tyrannical father,” Cameron added in a statement.

The new installment of the film will bring audiences back to Pandora as the Sully family traverses through their journey of loss and acceptance after the passing of Jake and Neytiri’s eldest son, Neteyam. 

In celebration of the eagerly anticipated film, a global premiere rollout kicked off last 1 December with a world premiere in Hollywood. In attendance were its cast and filmmakers Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Edie Falco, Duane Evans Jr., Dileep Rao, Cameron and special guests Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Finneas, Dr. Dre, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Diplo and Michelle Rodriquez, among others.

Tickets for Avatar: Fire and Ash are now on sale, including for IMAX and 4DX cinemas. The film starts showing on 17 December.
