A distressed fishing vessel was rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in the vicinity waters of Capones Grande, Zambales on 14 December 2025.
According to PCG, their vessel the BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409, assisted FB Gabriel 6, a fishing vessel that encountered engine trouble in the said area.
The FB Gabriel 6 departed Subic, Zambales, for a fishing venture and sustained damage to its outriggers due to rough sea conditions.
BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409) was conducting a maritime patrol in the vicinity waters of Bajo de Masinloc when it received a distress call.
The 44-meter vessel proceeded to the location and escorted FB Gabriel 6 with 25 crew members on board to the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Zambales for further assistance.
