

One of the two suspects who allegedly robbed a coffee shop in Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal over the weekend has been arrested.
Investigators said that on 13 December at about 1 a.m., the 42-year-old victim, identified only as Jessica, was about to close her coffee shop. She was waiting for her son, who had invited friends for a dine-in, when an unidentified male suspect arrived. He pretended to be a customer and entered wearing a long-sleeved shirt.
The suspect, identified only by the alias Hakim, 22, a cellphone technician, approached the victim, pulled out a firearm of unknown caliber, and declared a hold-up. While the victim was held at gunpoint, the suspect took her personal belongings.
The suspect and his accomplice fled on an unidentified motorcycle in an unknown direction.
The victim was able to track her cellphone, which was later located in P. Oliveros, Antipolo City. She sought help from the Angono Municipal Police Station, which immediately conducted a follow-up investigation and operation. This led to the identification and arrest of one suspect, positively recognized by the victim.
Stolen items included a black handbag containing various identification cards (PWD, Pag-ibig, PhilHealth, and ATM cards), other personal effects, and P10,000 cash; an Apple iPhone 15 worth P30,000; a Vivo 50 cellphone valued at P10,000; and a black Samsung Galaxy A16 worth P6,500.
Police continue operations to identify the second suspect, who remains at large.
