Ayala Corporation earned three major distinctions at the Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Awards, underscoring its leadership in sustainability, community engagement, and workplace wellness.
At the recent ACES Awards, regarded as Asia’s premier recognition for leadership and sustainability, Ayala was named among Asia’s Most Influential Companies, Top Community Centric Companies, and Top Workplaces. The company won in all categories where it was nominated, marking a rare sweep at the regional awards.
“These recognitions reflect Ayala’s enduring purpose — to build businesses that uplift lives and create value for all our stakeholders. It is also a testament to our people, whose passion and integrity drive our mission every day,” said Francisco Romero Milán, Ayala Corporation managing director and corporate resources group head.
ACES selects its awardees through a rigorous evaluation process. Companies recognized as Asia’s Most Influential Companies are large corporations that demonstrate strong influence over people, resources, and global interactions, with criteria including revenues, profitability, workforce size, innovation, brand influence, and sustainability practices.
Organizations cited as Top Community Centric Companies are those that exemplify active citizenship and demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the well-being of society, according to ACES. Meanwhile, the Top Workplaces award is given to companies that show sustained investment in people, employee recognition and retention, fair communication, job satisfaction, and work-life balance.
In its submissions, Ayala highlighted its strategic priorities as it approaches its 200th year, anchored on its purpose of building businesses that enable people to thrive. The company emphasized its trustworthiness to global partners, financial strength and stability, innovation-driven expansion, entrenched sustainability practices, and outreach and philanthropic programs that support communities.
Ayala also underscored its focus on employee development, mobility, and wellness as central to its long-term growth strategy.
Meanwhile, Ayala unit Globe Telecom was recognized as ACES Best Workplace in Asia and received its fifth citation as Industry Champion. Portfolio company Asticom was likewise named among the Top Workplaces in Asia.
