

Police seized 1,250 board feet of illegally cut wood during a routine anti-criminality and anti-illegal logging patrol at Brgy. Reformista, Limay, Bataan on 13 December 2025.
The Limay Municipal Police Station said the operation was conducted in coordination with Orion Municipal Police Station and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).
Police officers initially observed a vehicle transporting forest logs in plain view in Brgy. Reformista. When flagged down for verification, the driver attempted to flee but was intercepted in Sitio Damulog, Brgy. Daang Pare, Orion, Bataan.
The suspect could not present any Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) permit authorizing the cutting, possession, or transport of forest products. Authorities recovered 150 pieces of assorted cut forest logs with an estimated volume of 1,250 board feet, valued at around P62,500.
The suspect was lawfully arrested, and the recovered forest products were documented and turned over to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Limay for proper disposition.
The PNP emphasized that the operation highlights its continuing efforts to protect the environment and enforce forestry laws.
