PANABO CITY — Authorities scored a major victory in the campaign against illegal drugs after confiscating an estimated P27.6 million worth of suspected shabu in a coordinated anti-drug operation in Barangay Francisco early morning of 5 December 2025.
Police identified the arrested high-value individuals (HVIs) only by their aliases “Gang” and “Cesar.” They were cornered during a joint intelligence-driven sting mounted by the Panabo City Police Station, Davao del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Davao Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11, and the PDEA Davao del Norte.
Recovered from the suspects were 4,060 grams of shabu, carrying a Standard Drug Price of P27,608,000, along with marked money and boodle cash used in the buy-bust operation.
Police officials hailed the operation as one of the most significant drug hauls in the city this year.
Both suspects are now detained and will face charges for violating RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities vowed intensified operations in the days ahead as they continue to hunt down drug networks operating in the region.
