From Hawkins to Poblacion: ‘Stranger Things’ takeover

Until 29 November, Poblacion, Makati, is transformed into Hawkins, the eerie small town frozen in the late 1980s, to celebrate the launch of Stranger Things season five part one.

At the Annex House, a replica of the Byers’ home, fans may begin their journey at 10 a.m., wandering through dimly lit rooms decorated with alphabet lights by Joyce Byers and missing-person posters of Will.

From there, move on to The Mothergate at Pepco Parking, then the bustling Starcourt Mall at The Fun Roof. Each location is brimming with intricate recreations of the show’s iconic sets.

At 7 p.m., visit the Munson Trailer at Alamat, a haunting recreation of Eddie Munson’s home at the trailer park. By 9 p.m., those brave enough should reach Vecna’s Lair at Apotheka.

Admission is free at all locations.

Season five opens in the fall of 1987, when Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts. Our favorite heroes face a single, urgent mission: locate and defeat Vecna. But he has disappeared, leaving his plans unknown.

Meanwhile, the government imposes a military quarantine and intensifies its hunt for Eleven, forcing her into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a looming dread returns, and the final confrontation grows closer. To survive the ultimate darkness, the group must reunite one last time.

Stranger Things season five part two premieres on 25 December. The final episode airs on 31 December.

Fans visiting Poblacion can expect photo opportunities and interactive experiences that will immerse them in the world of Hawkins. Each location serves 1980s-inspired snacks and drinks, ensuring that the experience remains authentic.
