Century Park Hotel officially kicked off the Christmas season with its annual tree-lighting ceremony on Thursday, transforming the Atrium Lounge into a winter wonderland under this year’s theme, “Century Express,” inspired by the holiday classic The Polar Express.
The highlight of the celebration was the towering 43-foot Christmas tree, adorned in blue and silver ornaments and encircled at the midsection by a grand Polar Express train installation. Snowfall effects from the ceiling, nutcracker standees, festive lights, and garlands completed the cinematic holiday atmosphere.
“This year’s theme, Century Express, captures the essence of Christmas as a journey filled with joy, hope, and cherished memories,” said Anna Dimagiba, Century Park Hotel’s OIC for Operations. “Just like the Polar Express story, our hotel continues to be a place where guests can experience warmth, wonder, and timeless traditions.”
The ceremony was attended by Lucio Tan Group Chairman Dr. Lucio Tan, members of his family, and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, who together led the formal lighting of the massive tree. Guests were later treated to carols and a holiday-themed cocktail buffet.
As part of its yearly tradition, Century Park Hotel will launch a lineup of seasonal offerings throughout the holidays, including special buffet menus, staycation packages, and curated Christmas hampers.
“May the Century Express remind us all that Christmas is not just about reaching a destination, but about the magical journey we take together. It is our hope that this holiday season, our guests find the same warmth and enchantment that Century Park Hotel has proudly provided through the years,” Dimagiba said.
