Parañaque City Police arrested two men early Friday for alleged involvement in carnapping and illegal possession of firearms.
Authorities said the operation was conducted around 3:20 a.m. along Tramo 1, Barangay San Dionisio, following a report from a 30-year-old man who claimed to have spotted his stolen motorcycle in the area.
Members of the station’s Intelligence Section responded and saw the vehicle being driven by two individuals identified only as “Jimboy,” 23, and Jobert, 41.
Police stopped the suspects and recovered the stolen Honda Click motorcycle. Also seized from “Jimboy” was a caliber .38 revolver with a wooden handle, loaded with six live rounds.
Both suspects were taken to the Parañaque Police Station.
Authorities said charges will be filed for violations of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
