ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) has distributed financial assistance and rice supplies to an estimated 2,500 families in communities associated with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in Zamboanga City.
BTA Member of Parliament Saripuddin Dasani Jikiri disclosed that the aid is part of the regular intervention programs implemented by BTA members within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The recipients included marginalized MNLF members, ground supporters, non-combatants and their dependents, such as orphans and widows.
Jikiri personally distributed the aid at community gatherings. He expressed hope for more programs to address the pressing needs of former MNLF combatants who rely on government assistance during difficult times.
