Television host and weatherman Kim Atienza turned to faith and prayer in the midst of unimaginable grief following the passing of his youngest daughter, Emman, on 22 October 2025.
In a touching post shared on social media, Kim—known to millions as Kuya Kim—offered a glimpse into an intimate and solemn moment of his family gathered in prayer at Emman’s wake. The image, filled with quiet reverence, reflected the deep pain of loss yet radiated a steadfast devotion to God.
“We worship You, Lord, when times are good, and we continue to worship You in these difficult times. God is ALWAYS good. I lean not on my own understanding and totally trust You,” Kim wrote, a testament to the unwavering faith that has long guided him through life’s trials.
Alongside his message, he shared a comforting passage from Psalm 34:18:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
The verse, simple yet profound, encapsulated the faith-filled strength that Kim and his wife Felicia continue to hold onto as they mourn their beloved daughter. Friends, colleagues, and fans alike poured out messages of sympathy and prayers, surrounding the Atienza family with love and light during this difficult time.
Despite the heartbreak, Kim’s words serve as a gentle reminder of the enduring power of faith—that even in the face of sorrow, worship and trust in God can bring comfort, hope, and healing.
