CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Police operatives from Station 8 in Carmen successfully arrested the number one most-wanted person in Northern Mindanao on Thursday. The suspect is facing 22 counts of rape involving a minor in the city.
Police Major John Real F. De la Cerna, Station 8 commander, reported that the arrest took place at Barangay 7, Marga, Tubod, Surigao del Norte. The operation was carried out through a joint effort of the COCPS8 Tracker/Warrant Server Team, Malimono Municipal Police Station, and the City Mobile Force Company.
The arrest stemmed from a warrant issued by Hon. Judge Ali Joseph Ryan Chiong Lloren of RTC Branch 37, Cagayan de Oro City, on 29 September 2025. The suspect allegedly raped a 14-year-old 22 times and fled to Surigao del Norte after the warrant was issued.
