CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A high-value drug suspect and an associate were apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibayo, Balanga City, Bataan, on Wednesday, 29 October.
Reports from Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) stated that the operation, conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Balanga Municipal Police Station at approximately 2:30 a.m., resulted in the seizure of more than 160 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P1,088,000.
The suspects were identified as “Jake,” 44, from Barangay Malaya, Mariveles, Bataan, and “Jes,” 46, from Barangay Panilao, Pilar, Bataan. In addition to the suspected narcotics, authorities confiscated a sling bag, a cellphone, and various drug paraphernalia.
“This successful operation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to eradicating illegal drugs from our communities,” said PBGen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3. “We remain dedicated to proactive, intelligence-led strategies aligned with the PNP's Focused Agenda, ensuring a safer Central Luzon for all.”
The suspects will face charges related to violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
