BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The state-owned Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) congratulated Engr. Christopher V. Maglaque, PECE, MEM, for being officially conferred as an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Engineer during the 43rd Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 43).

The conference was held from 28 to 30 October 2025 at SMX Convention Center Clark in Pampanga.

“Your achievement is a profound monument of your commitment to engineering excellence and regional collaboration. You bring pride not only to the University but also to the entirety of the Bataan engineering community,” BPSU said in a statement.

The term “ASEAN Engineer” refers to a title conferred by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO), with the most prominent being the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE).

This professional accreditation recognizes the competence of an engineer within the ASEAN region, facilitating their ability to work internationally and enhancing their global competitiveness. The title is awarded under the Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Engineering Services.

Known for consistently topping engineering and medical board exams, BPSU is headed by Dr. Ruby Santos-Matibag as president.
