

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In two separate operations conducted within the past two days, Zambales police arrested three individuals and confiscated illegal drugs worth over P230,000.
According to the Zambales Police Provincial Office (PPO), a joint dawn operation was carried out on Thursday, October 23, in Sta. Elena, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, involving personnel from the Subic Municipal Police Station, PDEA Zambales, Zambales Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).
The operation led to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of approximately 7 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P47,600.
A day earlier, on 22 October at around 3:20 AM, the San Marcelino Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ Exodus Rodriguez executed a search warrant at a residence in Sitio Nagsabong, Barangay Linasin, San Marcelino.
Police seized 24 sachets containing about 25 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱170,000, a sachet of hybrid dried marijuana (kush), a digital weighing scale, and other drug paraphernalia. The suspect, who owns the property, was arrested and taken into custody.
Central Luzon Police Director BGen. Rogelio Peñones commended the Zambales PPO under the leadership of PCOL Benjamin P. Ariola, assistant provincial director, for their effective coordination and successful anti-drug efforts.
Peñones praised the teamwork among the operating units and recognized the community’s support, saying these operations “demonstrate the police’s unwavering dedication to fighting illegal drugs in Zambales.”
The arrested suspects will face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated evidence was brought to the respective police stations for proper documentation and disposition.
