For Hospitality Business Management student Brenda Isederio, studying while earning a living is more than a balancing act. It is a journey of grit and growth. Since 2021, she has worked as a foodpanda Logistics partner to fund her education, gaining not just financial support but also life skills she now values deeply.

Brenda started riding during her first year of college after realizing that traditional part-time jobs were not for her. Delivering food gave her freedom and flexibility, and through discipline, she was able to buy her own scooter. “We don’t have a boss checking on us, so I have to manage myself,” she said.

In 2024, she joined Women on Wheels: Ka-pandaBiz, a program by foodpanda Logistics that helps riders start small businesses. With its seed funding, she opened a sari-sari store in her neighborhood, a venture that taught her about leadership, budgeting, and confidence. “Before, I was shy and not very interested in business,” she said. “But because of Ka-pandaBiz, I realized I have the potential to be an entrepreneur.”

Now in her final year, Brenda focuses on finishing her degree, carrying lessons that will fuel her next goal to reopen and grow her business after graduation.
