A few days after Sofia Andres made a cryptic post about “how some people copy you, chase your circle and use you for clout,” Chie Filomeno seems to have clapped back on her recent Instagram post with a lengthy statement.
“This time... I’ll make patol... I will not allow anyone to belittle me, especially the people close to my heart. I’m choosing to use my platform — this is me using my platform. It might not do much, but it’s about time people understand their boundaries. I will speak when I feel it’s necessary, dahil tao pa rin ako. Tao pa rin kami (Because I am a person. We are people),” she wrote.
One Instagram user tagged is Andres to which Filomeno replied: “hindi niya makikita kasi blinock niya ako and I didn’t unfollow her.”
While the feud, imagined or otherwise, between Andres and Filomeno wasn’t clearly figured out, it is believed that it started when the latter was romantically linked with millionaire businessman Matthew Lhuillier, who is a relative of the former’s partner, Daniel Miranda.
Maricel Soriano gallops to drama
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was last seen in a Star Cinema movie twelve years ago, via Vice Ganda’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.
Playing Pia Jackstone in the dramedy, Soriano flexed her acting muscles to the hilt, throwing punches in rib-tickling scenes and drawing emotions in her dramatic scenes.
Now, 12 years later, Soriano is back in a Star Cinema film, Meet, Greet, Bye, where she is playing a role, she can sink her teeth into — a mother of four children who is afflicted with stage four cancer.
The drama unfolds when Soriano’s children in the film — Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, JK Labajo and Belle Mariano — discover the final stage of their mom’s cancer.
Playing a cancer-stricken mom gives Soriano an ample sampling of her dramatic prowess she displayed in various top-rated ABS-CBN series such as Ang Sa ‘Yo Ay Akin, Linlang, and Lavender Fields.
Like a doting mom, Soriano is all praises to Belle Mariano, who plays her only daughter in the film.
“There’s no nervousness in her. What is saw was her eyes. She has a beautiful pair of eyes. She acts naturally. She’s not acting. All she showed was genuine,” she said about Mariano.
