Chinese national collared for kidnapping

Operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday morning apprehended a Chinese national wanted for kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

In a report to NCRPO chief Police Major General Anthony Aberin, the operation took place inside the Bureau of Immigration warden's facility, located within the Bureau of Corrections compound in Muntinlupa City, 13 August 2025.

The arrest was made in compliance with a warrant issued by the Pasay City Regional Trial Court on 10 December 2020.

The 39-year-old suspect, currently held at the Bureau of Immigration warden's Facility, was apprehended according to a warrant of arrest. He is facing serious charges of kidnapping for ransom and illegal detention, as defined under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code.

No bail has been recommended due to the gravity of the offenses. The suspect is listed as a most wanted person under DILG Memorandum Circulars, with a P160,000 reward previously offered for information leading to his arrest.
