It was the last dinner, for a mother and her 7-month-old baby, after both were shot dead inside their house in San Pablo City, Laguna, on 7 August.
Thirty-year-old Rhea Lunar was carrying her baby while eating dinner when an armed suspect entered around 8 PM and fired a .caliber firearm.
Rhea sustained six gunshot wounds, and her baby was hit three times. Her mother was also wounded.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital, but the child was declared dead on arrival. A few hours later, Rhea also succumbed to her injuries. Her mother is now stable in the hospital.
The family remains in shock, unaware of who is behind the attack.
Authorities found the unregistered motorcycle used in the crime in Barangay San Pablo. Police have undisclosed further details to avoid influencing the investigation.
