Around 50 individuals were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations across southern Metro Manila over the past week, according to the Southern Police District (SPD).
Spanning from 28 July to 3 August, operatives of the SPD conducted 39 operations resulting in the seizure of over P1.3 million worth of suspected illegal drugs.
The haul included 169 grams of shabu, 40.4 grams of cocaine, three grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of P1,361,000. Of the 50 arrested, 17 were classified as street-level individuals (SLI) while the remaining 33 were unlisted SLIs.
The operations targeted drug activities in areas under the jurisdiction of SPD including Makati, Parañaque, Pasay, Taguig, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa.
SPD told DAILY TRIBUNE that the highest number of arrests were recorded in Taguig City.
