Police target ‘True Brown Style’ amid child exploitation, organized crime


Metro Manila police officers have arrested 13 individuals allegedly affiliated with the “True Brown Style” (TBS) criminal group over a two-year crackdown, prompting law enforcement to intensify operations targeting gang recruitment of minors, authorities announced Monday.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported that the arrests occurred between August 2024 and 28 September 2026.
Law enforcement apprehending two suspects in 2024, four in 2025, and seven in 2026 across various police jurisdictions.
The Southern Police District accounted for six arrests, followed by the Manila Police District with four, the Quezon City Police District with two, and the Northern Police District with one.
According to police records, the 13 suspects face 21 separate criminal counts, including firearms violations, illegal gambling, kidnapping, illegal detention, drug trafficking, homicide, human trafficking, cybercrime, anti-hazing violations, and child abuse.
NCRPO officer-in-charge Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano ordered all Metro Manila police districts to expand intelligence gathering and community-level interventions to prevent the group from grooming school-aged youth.
