Two suspected drug pushers were arrested Sunday afternoon after authorities seized 65.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P445,400 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Reformista, Limay, Bataan.

Col. Marites A. Salvadora, Limay police chief, reported to Central Luzon police director B/Gen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones that the arrested suspects were identified only by their aliases: “Tigas” of Barangay Reformista and “Joe” of Villafranca, Limay.

According to Salvadora, personnel from the Limay Municipal Police Station and the Bataan 2nd Mobile Force conducted the anti-illegal drug operation after receiving reports about the suspects’ planned drug transaction.

A police poseur buyer purchased P2,000 worth of suspected shabu from the suspects, leading to their immediate arrest.

The two individuals were reportedly under surveillance and listed in a Target Intelligence Packet (TIP). They will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Confiscated from the suspects were: one small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu exchanged for the P2,000 marked money; one knot-tied plastic sachet; and eight medium-sized plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, all weighing approximately 65.5 grams with an estimated street value of P445,400.

The suspects and seized items were brought to the Limay Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
