Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Dustin Yu is taking control of his narrative — with honesty, vulnerability, and confidence.

In a recent interview with showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz, Dustin broke his silence about undergoing nose enhancement, a decision that sparked buzz and curiosity across social media.

“The reason behind sa ilong ko, may sleep apnea kasi ako before,” Dustin revealed. “Maliit ’yung passage ng breathing ko. Tapos binabangungot ako. Di ako nakakatulog. Bad sleep talaga every day. Ginawa na lahat eh.”

Far from being a purely cosmetic move, Dustin emphasized that the procedure stemmed from a medical condition that significantly affected his health. Sleep apnea—a serious disorder that causes breathing to repeatedly stop and start during sleep—not only disrupted his rest but also put his well-being at risk.

Despite his clear explanation, Dustin hasn’t been spared from online commentary. Still, he remains composed and grounded.

“Sa totoo lang, hindi na ’to issue eh,” he said with a calm smile, showing remarkable maturity in addressing critics. “Kung anuman ’yung makita niyo sa akin, it’s because I want to feel better, sleep better, and live better.”
