Authorities arrested three drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations last Thursday night, seizing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P271,800.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) acting chief P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio reported that two suspects, identified as alias Mario and alias Francis, were apprehended by officers from Novaliches Police Station 4 (PS 4) around 9:15 p.m. 31 July 2025.
The operation took place beside a fast-food restaurant along Quirino Highway in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches. An undercover officer purchased P6,500 worth of shabu from one of the suspects, leading to their immediate arrest.
Police seized 19 grams of shabu valued at P129,200, along with a white pouch, a blue Vivo cellphone, a black half-face SEC helmet, a Yamaha NMAX motorcycle with an improvised plate number C778 JM, and the marked buy-bust money.
A check through the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification system revealed extensive criminal histories for both suspects.
Mario has previous cases for robbery (2016), multiple violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) in 2017, 2018, and 2020, and anti-gambling law violations in 2022 and 2025.
