SB19 with Sarah Geronimo.

BINI Jhoanna.
At 37, Popstar Sarah Geronimo is still on top of her game.
Recent proof is her latest collab with the top P-Pop group, SB19, titled “Umaaligid” which is fast gaining traction on YouTube for its movie-form music video with substance and relevance.
The music narrative juxtaposes themes of bullying, fake news peddling and disinformation as Geronimo’s MTV character falls prey to manipulation.
The music video, for all its undeniable truth and palpable reality, is both game changing and an eye-opener, as reality bites the very core of one’s mundane existence.
Not surprisingly, fans lapped it all up as they generously praised Geronimo and SB19 members Pablo, Josh, Ken, Stell and Justin for coming up with such brave material for a music video.
“Also iba na ang actress Sarah G. There’s a shift in how she attacks characters na in that short performance, sobrang layered ... ‘yung nuances ng mata niya, lakad, vocal delivery — ang lala. That was ROSE, not SG. She has grown so much,” wrote one fan.
“Trending worldwide at number 14! Unlocked 100,000 views within 3 hours! 80k tweets for tagline!” another fan noticed.
BINI Jhoanna apologizes
BINI member Jhoanna was recently criticized for her review of Maris Racal’s movie Sunshine on her recent Instagram story.
In a post, Jhoanna acknowledged the criticisms hurled against her and apologized.
“I appreciate the constructive feedback po. If my choice of words and how I posted Sunshine’s experience came across differently than l intended, I sincerely apologize po,” she wrote.
“What I hoped to emphasize was the weight of societal pressure, how crucial support systems are, and how access to proper education can empower people to make informed, safe decisions for themselves, whatever those decisions may be,” she added.
“With that, I do understand po that my initial post didn’t quite capture the heart of what the film was trying to convey especially given how deeply it tackles a much more personal and urgent issue that deserves to be approached with more care and clarity. It was a good movie. Definitely worth watching,” she explained.
