FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Komiteng Rehiyon Gitnang Luzon (KRGL) Regional Party Committee, a major unit of the Communist Terrorist Group has been dismantled, marking a significant step towards internal peace in the country.
The National Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (JPSCC) confirmed the dismantling, according to a statement released by the 7th Infantry Kaugnay Division last 24 July 2025.
The dismantling was affirmed through JPSCC Resolution No. 01, Series of 2025. The JPSCC stated that the declaration followed thorough deliberation and validation by the Area Clearing Validation Committee on joint operational reports submitted by units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.
It added that the KRGL’s dismantling met all parameters outlined in AFP-PNP Joint Letter Directive No. 03, Series of 2020. The AFP and PNP commended the Joint Task Force Kaugnay and the Police Regional Office 3 for their “exemplary commitment” to the successful execution of counter-insurgency operations.
A key factor in this success was the neutralization of 10 CTG elements, including four identified high-value individuals, on 26 June 2024, at Kilometer 6, Barangay Malbang, Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
