A total of 27 wanted individuals, including 10 on the Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) list, were arrested Friday during a city-wide warrant service operation conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD). Among those apprehended was the alleged leader of the notorious Cinco Criminal Group, the QCPD said on Saturday.

The arrests were made during QCPD’s one-day “Warrant Day,” targeting fugitives wanted for a range of offenses, including rape, sexual assault, illegal drugs, estafa, robbery, and illegal gambling.

Among those arrested was a 25-year-old man known as “Marck,” identified as the No. 6 most wanted at the district level. He was apprehended at his residence in Barangay Culiat and is facing two counts of sexual abuse under a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 89.

Authorities also served a warrant to “Victor,” 44, at the Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory. Listed as the No. 7 most wanted in his station, he is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), under a warrant from RTC Branch 228.

Another arrest was made in Payatas, where a 27-year-old man known as “Jaypee,” the No. 10 most wanted at the district level, was served a warrant for acts of lasciviousness issued by RTC Branch 13, Family Court. Records revealed he previously faced charges for illegal gambling in October 2024.

In Barangay Project 6, a 24-year-old man identified as “Gabriel,” ranked No. 2 most wanted in his area, was arrested at a local tennis court. He is facing two counts of rape through sexual assault and statutory rape under RTC Branch 86.

Also apprehended was “Reynaldo,” 64, the No. 8 most wanted in his jurisdiction, arrested at a local police office in Novaliches. He is wanted for estafa under a warrant from RTC Branch 125 in Caloocan City. JD

In separate operations in Barangay Commonwealth and along IBP Road in Quezon City, two suspects, “Alniewin,” 33, and “Randy,” 38, were arrested for sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness, respectively. Both warrants were issued by RTC Branch 99.

At the Cubao custodial facility, 41-year-old “Paul,” listed as the No. 10 most wanted in his area, was arrested for robbery under a warrant from RTC Branch 104. Background checks showed he had prior cases for illegal gambling in 2018, 2023, and 2024, and a theft case in 2021.

One of the operation’s most significant arrests was that of “John,” 31, alleged leader of the Cinco Criminal Group. He was taken into custody outside New Arayat Market in Barangay San Martin de Porres. He faces charges under RA 9165, with the warrant issued by RTC Branch 103. Further checks revealed multiple prior offenses, including illegal gambling and drug violations between 2021 and 2024.

The final notable arrest was that of “Bryan,” 42, in Barangay 178, Camarin, Caloocan City. Listed as the No. 6 most wanted in his area, he is facing two counts of acts of lasciviousness under RTC Branch 1 in Caloocan.

QCPD said the arrests were the result of intensified efforts to enforce outstanding court orders and remove fugitives from communities, part of the district’s broader campaign against criminality.
