A 29-year-old woman was stabbed and robbed along Floodway in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal, early Monday morning.
The victim, identified only as alias Jona, sustained stab wounds to her body and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is now in stable condition.
Initial investigation revealed that Jona was walking along Block 14, Samagta Floodway, on her way home when the suspect, a 38-year-old man identified only as alias JR, approached her and declared a holdup.
When the victim resisted, the suspect stabbed her with a knife and grabbed her iPhone before fleeing toward Eastbank Road.
Personnel from the Taytay Municipal Police Station immediately launched a hot pursuit and follow-up operation to locate and arrest the suspect.
