The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) executed two high-profile arrest operations on Friday, resulting in the capture of two of Metro Manila’s most wanted fugitives.
At around 9AM, NCRPO operatives apprehended a 52-year-old laborer — ranked as the second most wanted at the regional level and first at the district level — on murder charges. The arrest took place during a joint operation along Malingap Street, Barangay Central, Quezon City, led by the Quezon City Police District’s Anti-Criminality Unit.
The suspect was served a no-bail arrest warrant issued by a Quezon City Regional Trial Court on 8 May 2025. He is currently in police custody, with legal documentation and court coordination in progress.
Two hours later, at around 11:30AM, another operation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old construction worker in Damayang Lagi, Galas, also in Quezon City. He is ranked sixth on the regional most wanted list and fourth on the district list.
The younger suspect is facing multiple charges, including a violation of Section 5(A) of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act) and rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended. While the court set a bail of P6,000 for the VAWC charge, the rape case is non-bailable.
Both men are now in custody. Legal proceedings are ongoing to ensure full compliance with judicial protocols.
