Before their eviction, the unexpected pairing of Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman — dubbed Team Shukla — sparked buzz inside Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition. But it wasn’t just their bond that caught attention — it was Shuvee’s surprising decision to pass over Esnyr Ranollo, her initially preferred partner, during the Final Duo Formation Task.

Earlier in the season, Shuvee had openly expressed interest in teaming up with Esnyr for the Big Night, calling their potential "Bisaya Duo" a fun and powerful match. So when Rank 2 Shuvee bypassed Rank 12 Esnyr and instead chose Klarisse, who ranked third at the time, many fans were caught off guard.

In an appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the two housemates shared their side of the story.

“I have no regrets about the choice I made,” Shuvee said. “I’m really happy with Ate Klang.”

She explained that Klarisse had been a quiet source of support inside the house—someone who stood by her when she felt misunderstood.
“Not a lot of people knew this, but she was the one who saved me inside Kuya’s house. That meant so much to me, and I couldn’t ignore that when it was time to choose.”

While Shuvee had initially planned to pick Esnyr, her decision in the moment came from the heart.

“I was sure about Esnyr because we always talked about it. But when I stood there and looked at everyone, it was Ate Klang my heart pointed to.”

Klarisse, often referred to by fans as the “Nation’s Mowm,” shared that she didn’t hesitate when Shuvee approached her.

“It was an instant ‘yes.’ I’m happy that my final duo was someone I really connected with and supported inside the house.”

With the Final Four approaching, two duos have already secured their spots: Charlie Fleming and Esnyr as Team CharEs, and Ralph de Leon and Will Ashley as Team RaWi. The remaining duos — DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca de Vera), AzVer (AZ Martinez and River Joseph), and BreKa (Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca) — continue to vie for the last two places.

Asked who they’re rooting for to enter the Big Four, both Shuvee and Klarisse named Team BreKa.

“I’m praying for BreKa to make it,” Klarisse said. “They’re a true example of what a Collab should be. Not just during tasks, but in how they support each other emotionally and personally inside the house.”

Shuvee echoed the sentiment, pointing out the growth they witnessed in Brent and Mika.

“Those two have shown so much development and strength. They deserve to be up there.”

While Team Shukla may no longer be in the running, their decision to team up remains one of the season’s most memorable moments — driven less by strategy and more by sincerity.
