Hours later, actor and politician Jolo Revilla also expressed condolences on Facebook, thanking Solis for the love she showed his entire family.
“Salamat sa lahat ng pagmamahal at pagsuporta mo sa aming buong pamilya lalo na kay papa. Salamat sa pagaalaga mo sa akin noong ikaw ay tumayo bilang aking manager noong ako ay artista pa,” he said.
Earlier, Solis had opened up about a recent health scare, describing it as an “eye opener.” She admitted to experiencing mental lapses and physical weakness that made daily movements difficult.
Born on 20 May 1947, in Manila, Solis became a household name as a host and interviewer, most notably on Startalk, which aired from 1995 to 2015.
