Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Qatar Airways have launched a new daily nonstop service between Manila and Doha, expanding their codeshare partnership to boost connectivity between the Philippines and the Middle East.
The flag-carrier said Monday that the flights are operated by PAL’s Airbus A330-300, offering 18 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 341 seats in Economy.
The new service allows passengers from Manila to connect to Qatar Airways’ network of over 170 destinations through Hamad International Airport.
“Our strategic partnership with Qatar Airways puts our valued guests in the forefront and enables us to draw from our respective strengths. Together, we can focus clearly on further developing the Philippines-Qatar air travel market while ensuring seamless connections across our respective networks,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said Monday.
Qatar Airways currently serves Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, providing more access points across the Philippines.
“By working closely with Philippine Airlines, we will offer our customers from around the world a seamless travel experience and greater choice for connections to and from the Philippines, through the best hub in the Middle East: Hamad International Airport in Doha,” Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said.
