Olongapo City, Zambales – A petty child’s fight led to the fatal stabbing of a woman at Block 13, Gordon Heights of this city on 25 June 2025.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim, identified as Rose Marie Balcita, had just alighted from a tricycle when she was attacked by her 64-year-old neighbor, Salvador De Asis. Balcita sustained multiple stab wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Witnesses said the suspect fled the scene aboard a blue and gray motorcycle with a sidecar.

The victim’s son, Patrick, revealed that tensions between the two families began after a dispute between their children escalated into a legal matter. He is now calling for justice and urging De Asis to surrender to authorities.

As of this writing, the suspect remains at large.
