The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded a magnitude 4.6 inland earthquake in General Nakar, Quezon on Tuesday at 12:17 PM.
According to state seismologists, the earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
Damage and aftershocks are expected.
Intensity IV was felt in Makati City, Manila, Marikina City, San Pedro in Laguna, and Tanay in Rizal. Intensity III was recorded in Navotas City, Quezon City, Pasay City, San Juan City, Taguig City, Guiguinto and Malolos in Bulacan, Palayan in Nueva Ecija, Angeles and Mabalacat in Pampanga, and Biñan in Laguna.
