SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A retired soldier was arrested for murder after allegedly shooting a construction worker in Barangay Siling Bata, Pandi, Bulacan in the early hours of Thursday.
According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the suspect, identified only as Manny, 70, a native of Nueva Ecija, is a former member of the military. He was arrested for the fatal shooting of 53-year-old construction worker Jose (surname withheld) in the said barangay.
The Pandi Municipal Police Station reported that the incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find the victim already lifeless. The suspect was immediately taken into custody.
Manny will face charges of murder and violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
