Paris / Venice — Lauren Sánchez is cruising toward her wedding with Jeff Bezos in serious style—starting with a star-studded bachelorette party in Paris and heading for a lavish (but supposedly low-impact) celebration in Venice.
The 55-year-old journalist and fiancée of the Amazon founder was seen boarding a boat in Paris on Friday, 17 May, for the latest stop in her glamorous girls’ getaway. Joining her were Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Eva Longoria, and Kris Jenner—each in designer looks ranging from corsets to couture.
Sánchez wore a striking bridal white lace-up dress, while her guests sipped champagne aboard a sleek white yacht as the sun set over the Seine. The weekend also included a chic bachelorette lunch where Sánchez stunned in Oscar de la Renta, flanked by Kardashian in Louis Vuitton and Jenner in a tailored gray skirt suit.
While buzz continues to build for the Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice later this June, the city has pushed back on reports of overwhelming crowds and grand takeovers.
“Only 200 guests have been invited,” city officials said Saturday. “Venice will function as normal—for all.”
The municipality denied rumors of “excessive gondola bookings” and called the three-day affair “respectful” of Venice’s fragility as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Mayor Luigi Brugnaro welcomed the couple, calling the event a “million-dollar” economic win—but emphasized it would not hinder daily life for locals or tourists.
With yacht parties, designer gowns, and global headlines, Sánchez’s bridal season is officially on. And as the countdown to Venice begins, one thing is clear: this is no ordinary “I do.”
