33 arrested for violating CL liquor ban

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 33 people were arrested in various areas of the provinces of Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac for violating the liquor ban on Sunday.
According to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Director Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, those arrested violated the Commission on Elections Omnibus Election Code Resolution No. 11057, citing that the charges will be immediately filed in courts.
Fajardo said that the 48-hour liquor ban started on 11 May and ended on 12 May.
The ban includes the banning of selling, buying, and drinking of alcohol beverages.
The PRO3 is urging the public to cooperate with the ongoing regulations to ensure safe and peaceful elections.
