Cavite gubernatorial candidate Francisco Gabriel “Abeng” Remulla threw his support behind former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan’s bid for a Senate return during a campaign rally in Magallanes, Cavite on Friday, 9 May. The endorsement adds momentum to Pangilinan’s Luzon caravan, which has been drawing attention across key provinces.

Pangilinan, a resident of Silang, Cavite, attended the campaign rally on Friday straight from the second day of his Luzon caravan, which covered Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Pampanga.

“Ako po ay humihingi ulit ng inyong tulong para mailuklok muli para maituloy natin ang pagsuporta [sa magsasaka at mangingisda],” he said.

The former senator thanked Remulla and underscored his deep personal and geographic connection to Cavite, vowing to ensure that national programs meaningfully reach Caviteños.

“Makakaasa kayo na kapag ako ay nanalo, magkapitbahay lang tayo… Makakaasa po kayo ng mabilis at agarang tulong, iisipin natin ang Cavite dahil tagarito tayo,” he said.

“Para magawa ito, kailangan makabalik tayo sa Senado sa tulong niyo,” Pangilinan added.

After his speech, Remulla, vice gubernatorial candidate Ram Revilla, and other local officials raised Pangilinan’s hands in a show of support.

Cavite remains a key battleground in the 2025 midterm elections, with over 2.4 million registered voters—second only to Cebu, which has more than 3.4 million.
