The Commission on Elections (Comelec) confirmed Tuesday, 6 May, that one person died after a truck carrying election paraphernalia fell off a cliff in Cagayan de Oro.
In a Viber message to reporters, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said the truck while on its way back to Cagayan after sending election paraphernalia to Bukidnon.
"Sa Upper Puerto, [Cagayan de Oro] na po nangyari (It happened in Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro)," Garcia said.
