The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday opened the National Technical Support Center (NTSC), a call center hub to handle queries and concerns for the 2025 elections.
Comelec chairperson George Garcia led the walk-through of the new facility, saying that they want all calls from all precincts, schools, canvassing centers and Comelec repair hubs to be received and known at the facility.
The Comelec said it hired at least 900 personnel to provide technical and non-technical support at the NTSC.
“All problems, if any, from each precinct, whether technical or non-technical, will come here... The protocol is that a call should be answered within five seconds,” Garcia said.
The facility will also monitor the online voting and counting system for overseas voters.
The Comelec said at least 36,000 overseas Filipino voters have enrolled in the pre-voting enrollment system for the 2025 elections.
There are 69.6 million registered voters for the May polls, with 68.4 million in the country and 1.2 million overseas.
