Senator Christopher “Bong” Go recorded the highest net satisfaction rating among sitting senators in a privately commissioned nationwide survey conducted from 2 to 3 May.
Go, chair of the Senate Committee on Health, earned a +60.8 percent net satisfaction score — the highest among his peers — while also receiving the lowest dissatisfaction rating. He thanked the public and vowed to continue providing practical support to uplift the lives of Filipinos.
Known for his health advocacy, Go authored RA 11463 or the "Malasakit Centers Act of 2019," institutionalizing one-stop shops for medical assistance.
Today, 167 Malasakit Centers serve over 17 million Filipinos nationwide, according to the Department of Health.
“Gusto ko pong siguraduhin na ‘pag may nagkasakit sa pamilya, hindi kailangang mamroblema sa hospital bills,” Go said. “Ang Malasakit Center ay para sa lahat lalo na sa mga walang-wala.”
("I want to make sure that when someone in the family gets sick, they won’t have to worry about hospital bills." "The Malasakit Center is for everyone, especially those who have nothing.")
He also supported over 700 Super Health Centers and sponsored RA 11959 or the "Regional Specialty Centers Act," improving access to specialized care in the regions.
Beyond health, Go has pushed for a P100 daily wage hike (SB 2534), protection for freelancers and delivery riders, and rural employment programs. In agriculture, he co-authored laws expanding financing and debt relief for farmers, and proposed crop insurance measures.
"Hinding-hindi ko po sasayangin ‘yung pagkakataong ibinigay n’yo po sa akin... ang aking bisyo sa pagseserbisyo,” he said.
("I will never waste the opportunity you have given me... my only vice is public service.")
